Shield
Dark blue and red are the colors traditionally associated with Personnel organizations. White symbolizes integrity, and red is emblematic of valor and sacrifice. The three escutcheons commemorate war service in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. The indentations of the chief allude to the mountains and valleys of Italy where the unit had its baptism of fire. The bars ending in arrowheads are interwoven by the annulet, symbolizing unit and service to the personnel of the community.
Crest
The spears emphasize combat readiness. The five red spearheads reflect Meritorious Unit Commendations, while the palm frond, symbolizing victory, represents the unit's Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation. Bamboo and palm also underscore service in Korea and Vietnam.
The coat of arms was approved on 14 October 1994.
